•  A nutrition program for 450 children, ages 1 to 5, who receive a daily mix of flour, milk, sugar and vegetable oil. This supplement plan for undernourished children is endorsed by UNICEF .

•  A “better stove” program, aimed at reducing respiratory and eye disease caused by cooking indoors over open fires in one-room homes. With this fuel-efficient stoves, less wood is needed to cook, fewer toddlers fall into open fires, and the incidences of respiratory and eye disease, burns and deforestation are reduced.

•  Sustainable, organic farming instruction, land conservation and resource management for indigenous farmers whose livelihoods depend on the land.

•  Providing basic education for the children of street and market vendors, teaching young children and teenagers who cannot afford or attend public school.

•  Coping and response classes for pre-teens who live in rural areas where religious, social and political differences often lead to violence. Sessions center on mutual respect and moral and ethical behavior.

•  Construction of a modern, cement block primary school building to serve deserving children, replacing a drafty, dirt floor wooden structure.
